Saigon Co.op prepares 3,500 tons of pork for Tet

AsemconnectVietnam - The Saigon Union of Trading Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op), owner of the Co.opmart supermarket chain, has purchased over 3,500 tons of safe pork for the upcoming Tet holiday, said Nguyen Anh Duc, deputy general director of Saigon Co.op. Duc said the 3,500 tons of pork was bought from major pork suppliers, including Vissan and Anh Hoang Thy.
“There is no need for shoppers to worry too much about a shortage of pork at the Saigon Co.op supermarkets,” Duc said, adding that the firm is preparing large amounts of beef, chicken and seafood to ensure the stabilization of prices and diversify customers’ options.
