After the Council of Expert Boards and the National Brand Council seriously selected, assessed and appraised, the Minister of Industry and Trade - Chairman of the National Brand Council certified 97 company products as National Value 2018. Winners are pioneering companies which have great spillover effects on the National Value and represent Vietnam’s manufacturing and exporting sectors.

 

Taking the lead and playing a leading role in the Vietnamese gas industry, PV GAS is deserved to be a winner of the National Value. The representative of PV GAS was also invited to join the national leading business delegation to meet the Prime Minister, and was congratulated and encouraged by the Prime Minister and Government officials.

 

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is a specialized product, a source of clean fuel for industry and livelihood. In the context of increasingly fierce competition of LPG market and the presence of many domestic and foreign competitors, PV GAS has been a top supplier for decades, and continued its efforts to strengthen LPG production and processing, sought supplies from foreign markets, improved service quality, and strongly developed the nationwide LPG wholesale and retail system to stabilize the market, position, protect and develop the PV GAS brand to benefit consumers and the social community.

 

Creating advantages of material facilities, locally made and imported product sources, strong workforce, business partners and widespread distribution systems across the country, PV GAS continues to be the No. 1 LPG producer and trader in Vietnam and is the only enterprise in Vietnam capable of importing cold LPG from the Middle East. PV GAS currently holds about 60% of the LPG market share in Vietnam.

 

PV GAS has played an important role in the development of Vietnam’s gas industry and international integration. The corporation has also developed the gas market by diversifying products and consumers to ensure long-term safety and stability for the gas industry; strictly managed and controlled cost of goods and services; renovated corporate governance; and ensured the reasonable and competitive quality and prices of products and services.

 

In addition to the honorable National Value, the brand prestige, quality and performance of PV GAS has also been illustrated by many other prestigious awards. Specifically, PV GAS was named among the Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam for six straight years by Forbes; the corporation was called one of five Vietnamese companies in the list of 300 most dynamic Asian companies in 2017 by Nikkei Asian Review - a leading media group in Japan; the firm was ranked third among 1,000 biggest taxpayers in Vietnam by the General Department of Taxation; and PV GAS was ranked 6th in Top 100 companies with the best financial management index in 2018 by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). 

 

The National Value is the only program launched by the Government of Vietnam that aims to promote the national image and the national brand through product brands (goods and services). This is a long-term trade promotion program aimed at building and promoting trade names, geographical indications and brands of Vietnamese services and goods on domestic and foreign markets. The National Value is launched every two years starting from 2008, with the sixth edition in 2018, to inspire businesses to share and pursue the values ​​of the Vietnam National Value Program: Quality - Innovation, Creativity - Pioneering to constantly innovate, create and enhance product quality and business development.
