AsemconnectVietnam - Vietjet and Novus Aviation Capital, the world's leading aircraft finance and capital management company headquartered in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), have just signed an agreement to establish an aircraft finance and cooperate in providing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in Vietnam, through subsidiary SAF One.

The event took place solemnly in the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh within the framework of his business trip and attendance at the World Climate Action Summit (COP28) in Dubai, UAE.
The joint venture with Novus will initially provide finance for 15 new aircraft ordered by Vietjet with the world's leading commercial aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Airbus and delivered from 2024. Expected financial joint venture will continue to expand and aim at comprehensive financial sponsorship activities for Vietjet.
In addition, Vietjet also cooperates with SAF One Company to develop, supply and use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in Vietnam to move towards a green aviation future and actively contribute to the effort of sustainable aviation fuel to reduce carbon emissions in the aviation industry. With this agreement, Vietjet is also a pioneer airline participating in cooperation in research, development and use of sustainable aviation fuel. SAF is a fuel made from waste such as used cooking oil to significantly cut emissions into the environment compared to traditional fuels.
