AsemconnectVietnam - On November 28, 2023, Ton Dong A Joint Stock Company officially received ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System certificate at Ton Dong A factory - Dong An No.2 Industrial Park, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong province.

Recognizing the importance of energy saving, Ton Dong A has implemented a systematic and effective approach to energy use as well as applying the requirements of the ISO 50001:2018 standard into practical activities. Along with that, Ton Dong A has also implemented activities including building an efficient energy use policy, setting goals and targets consistent with the policy, using data to better understand and make decisions about energy use, measure results, review the effectiveness of energy policy implementation, and continuously improve energy management.
Through that, after two evaluations in August 2023 and September 2023, Bureau Veritas Vietnam Co., Ltd. (headquarters in France) - the leading unit in the Conformity Assessment and Certification industry in Vietnam has evaluated and recognized Ton Dong A to achieve ISO 50001:2018 energy management system certification, effective from November 18, 2023.
Speaking in the program, Mr. Pham Quoc Thang, Deputy General Director of Ton Dong A Joint Stock Company said: "The application and good operation of ISO 50001:2018 standards will help reduce production costs to enhance the competitiveness of the Ton Dong A brand in the Vietnamese market as well as globally. In the coming time, Ton Dong A will continue to implement ISO 14064:2018 standard on Greenhouse gas calculation and verification management system and ISO 14067:2018 standard on Carbon Footprint Certification to contribute to promoting Speed up the process of implementing the dual goal of green growth and realizing Vietnam's international commitments to achieve zero net emissions by 2050, according to the Prime Minister's statement at the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow (COP26).

By achieving ISO 50001:2018 energy management system, Ton Dong A has shown the efforts and initiative of Ton Dong A in reducing climate change, protecting the environment, and developing a circular economy when manufacturing products that can be recycled and reused, improving product life cycles, aiming at the development trend of "green production - green products", products that are not only environmentally friendly during use but also also limits the impact on the environment during the production process.
