AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 6 months of 2023, FPT recorded revenue of VND24,166 billion, profit before tax of VND4,339 billion, up 21.9% and 19.3% respectively over the same period last year, closely following the plan set out in 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.

Profit after tax for shareholders of the parent company reached VND3,003 billion, up 20.6%, EPS reached 2,732 VND/share, up 19.8% over the previous year.
Technology Division (including domestic IT services and foreign IT services) continues to play a key role, contributing 59% of revenue and 46% of pre-tax profit of the whole Group, equivalent to VND14,202 billion and VND2,005 billion, up 25.1% and 26.3% respectively over the same period last year.
In which, overseas IT services revenue reached VND11,227 billion, up 30.2%, profit before tax reached VND1,834 billion, up 34.6% over the same period last year. The key markets all maintained high growth momentum, especially in Japan, despite the devaluation of the yen, still maintained a high growth momentum, 39.1% over the same period.
This growth comes from the need for large spending on information technology, especially spending on digital transformation, where Japan is lagging behind the US and Western countries, after being affected for a long time affected by COVID-19. In addition to objective factors from market demand, FPT has also actively implemented currency hedging measures and adjusted selling prices to closely follow the fluctuations of the Japanese Yen to ensure growth of the Japanese market.
At the same time, the Company also promoted activities to promote business development such as opening new offices, strengthening contracts with large corporations. In early June, FPT opened its 15th office in this country. Most recently, on June 23, the Company also signed a cooperation agreement with Honda to develop work opportunities in the field of information technology service management on a global scale.
Digital transformation revenue from overseas markets in the first half of 2023 reached VND4,886 billion, up 40% over the same period, focusing on new technologies such as Cloud, AI/Data Analytics,...
The company also recorded many large orders from foreign markets, with new registered revenue of VND15,017 billion, up 28.6% over the same period. In which, there are 13 projects with a scale of over USD5 million.
Domestic IT services still face many challenges due to the decrease in demand from corporate customers, recording revenue of VND2,975 billion, up 9% and EBT of VND171 billion, down 24.3%. The company continues to promote cooperation with the government sector, ministries, sectors, foreign businesses and economic sectors less affected to ensure growth. With the support of the Government and leaders of provinces and cities across the country, up to now, FPT has promoted the signing of digital transformation cooperation agreements with nearly 30 localities and trained digital transformation awareness for nearly thousands of leaders at all levels of localities across the country.
Telecommunication services recorded double-digit growth, revenue reached VND7,423 billion, up 10.4% and EBT reached VND1,475 billion, up 14.5%.
The sharp increase in demand for education in the information technology industry has contributed to boosting FPT's Education revenue by 42% over the same period last year, reaching VND2,754 billion.
