AsemconnectVietnam - Nam Viet Joint Stock Company (code ANV - HOSE) announced the document of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2023, the meeting is scheduled to be held on June 24 in An Giang.

In 2023, Nam Viet targets total revenue of VND5,200 billion and pre-tax profit of VND500 billion. Thus, it is estimated that profit will decrease by 35.4% compared to that of implementation in 2022 (pre-tax profit in 2022 is VND774 billion).
The company shared that, in 2023, the Company will actively go into the quality of the production chain in the direction of improving quality, diversifying products, reducing costs, and ensuring the environment; find new customers and maintain existing customers; maintain production capacity and improve aquaculture and seafood processing techniques to have products of good quality, stability, and reasonable prices.
It is known that in 2022, Nam Viet planned a profit of VND1,000 billion but only recorded VND774 billion, completing 77.4% of the year plan.
Regarding dividends, in 2022, the Company submits to shareholders a 10% cash dividend plan. Entering 2023, the dividend is expected to be 10% in cash and shares are expected to be issued to increase share capital from equity for existing shareholders, the ratio is 1:1.
The company expects to issue more shares at the ratio of 1:1 in 2023, if the issuance is successful, the charter capital will double, to VND2,666.7 billion.
In terms of business activities, in the first quarter of 2023, Nam Viet recorded revenue of VND1,155.2 billion, down 5.2% over the same period and pre-tax profit of VND107.99 billion, down 54.7 % compared to the same period last year. In which, gross profit margin decreased from 29.4% to 17.6%.
Thus, with a profit of VND107.99 billion, ending the first 3 months of 2023, Nam Viet completed 21.6% of the year's profit plan.
