Vietnam's 2019 coffee exports likely down 13.9% y/y at 1.61 million tons

COFFEE
Coffee exports from Vietnam are expected to fall an estimated 13.9% in 2019 from a year earlier to 1.61 million tons, equal to 2.68 million 60-kg bags, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said.
Coffee export revenue for Vietnam, the world's biggest producer of the robusta bean, will likely decline 21.2% to $2.785 billion in 2019.
The country's coffee shipments in December are estimated at 150,000 tons, valued at $258 million.
RICE
Rice exports in 2019 are forecast to increase 2.5% from a year earlier to 6.259 million tons.
Revenue from rice exports in the period is expected to drop 9.9% to $2.758 billion.
December rice exports from Vietnam, the world's third-largest shipper of the grain, likely totaled 390,000 tons, worth $180 million.
ENERGY
Vietnam's 2019 crude oil exports were seen rising 3.6% from the same period last year to an estimated 4.1 million tons.
Crude oil export revenue in the year is expected to fall 7.8% from a year earlier to $2.025 billion.
Oil product imports in 2019 were estimated at 7.675 million tons, up 48.2% from the same period last year, while the value of product imports increased 31.6% to $3.615 billion.
Vietnam's 2019 liquefied petroleum gas imports were seen rising 27.5% from a year earlier to 1.843 million tons.
The GSO trade data is subject to revision next month.
