Vietnam - China trade reached more than 175 billion USD in 2022

AsemconnectVietnam - China is Vietnam's largest trading partner, but our country suffers from a large deficit.
According to the new preliminary data announced by the General Department of Customs, in 2022, the total import-export turnover between Vietnam and China reached 175.57 billion USD, of which Vietnam's exports to China reached 57.7 billion USD and imports from China reached 117.87 billion USD.
Thus, in 2022, Vietnam had a large deficit of over 60 billion USD in trade relations with China.
Last year, there were 12 groups of Vietnamese exports with a turnover of 1 billion USD or more, of which the exports of 2 groups reached 10 billion USD or more, including: phones and components with 16.26 billion USD; computers, electronic products and components with 11.88 billion USD.
There were 3 groups of agricultural products with a turnover of billions of USD, including wood and wood products; seafood; and vegetables.
In contrast, goods imported from China were also very diverse. Notably, by 2022, there were 19 groups of goods imported from China with a turnover of 1 billion USD or more, of which there were 2 groups of "tens of billions of dollars" including: machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts with 24.29 billion USD; computers, electronic products and components withfd 24 billion USD.
Currently, China is Vietnam's largest trading partner, in which this neighboring country holds the No. 1 position in terms of imports and No. 2 in terms of exports (after the United States).
