Exports of fibers reached nearly 2.4 billion USD
Tuesday, August 20,2019AsemconnectVietnam - According to the statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, in the first 7 months of 2019, Vietnam exported 947,714 tons fibers of all kinds worth of nearly 2.4 billion USD, with the average price of 2,531 USD per ton (increased by 11.1 per cent in volume, and 2.6 per cent in turnover but down by 7.7 per cent in price over the same period of 2018).
The following were several markets such as South Korea - 81,744 tons, equivalent to 198.12 million USD, down by 15.3 per cent in volume and 17.8 per cent in turnover; Southeast Asia - 62,170 tons, equivalent to 171.81 million USD, up by 3.7 per cent in volume and 2.7 per cent in turnover; Turkey - 39,700 tons, equivalent to 86.17 million USD, down by 7 per cent in volume and 15.7% in turnover; India 23,435 tons, equivalent to 78.77 million USD, up 12.9% in volume but down 1.2% in turnover.
In the first 7 months of this year, exporting this group to the majority of markets increased turnover compared to the same period last year. The exports to EU market increased by 87.3 per cent in volume and 120.6 per cent in turnover to 15,534 tons, equivalent to 32.66 million USD; the exports to the UK market also increased relatively well by 49.9 per cent in volume and by 40.9 per cent in turnover, reaching 9,915 tons, equivalent to 10.42 million USD.
