Exports of cement and clinker increased sharply to over US$1 billion
Friday, November 30,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s exports of cement and clinker reached 26.21 million tons worth of over US$1 billion in the first ten months of this year, increased sharply by 73.4 per cent in quantity and 90.3 per cent in value over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
The South East Asian countries ranked second with 6.58 million tons worth of $301.69 million, increased sharply by 46.54 per cent in quantity and 51.74 per cent in value and accounted for 25 per cent of the total. And Bangladesh accounted for 23 per cent with 5.99 million tons worth of $199.32 million, down by 2.86 per cent in quantity but up by 9.84 per cent in value over the same period last year.
In the first ten months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of cement and clinker to Myanmar decreased sharply by 99.41 per cent in quantity and 98.03 per cent in value year – on – year, while the exports to Australia – down by 79.87 per cent in quantity and 68.15 per cent in value.
