Over US$ 53.39 billion worth of goods imported from China in ten months
Wednesday, November 14,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s imports of goods from China reached US$ 53.39 billion in the first ten months of this year, increased by 14 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
Machines, equipment and spare parts were leading the list of items imported by the country from China in the first ten months of this year with the import value of $9.74 million.
The imports of telephones and components from China in the period reached $6.94 billion, up by 4.6 per cent year – on – year; computers, electronics and components - $6.26 billion, up by 9.9 per cent; fabrics of all kinds - $5.87 billion, up by 18.6 per cent; iron and steel - $3.83 billion, up by 9.9 per cent.
In the first ten months of this year, the country’s imports of cameras, camcorders and components from China increased sharply by 136 per cent to $781.17 million; petroleum – up by 105.3 per cent to $853.57 million; petroleum – up by 105.3 per cent to $853.57 million; metal products – up by 86.8 per cent to $538.44 million; confectionery – up by 62.1 per cent to $15.98 million.
However, the imports of CBU autos from China fell by 89.9 per cent to only $27.75 million; pharmaceuticals – down by 30.2 per cent to $30.98 million.
