In August only, the country imported $ 2.89 billion, up by 16 per cent over the previous month.

China was the country’s biggest export market of computers, electronics and components in the first eight months of this year with the export turnover of $5.1 billion, accounted for 27.4 per cent of the total and increased by 28.67 per cent year – on – year.

EU ranked second with $3.2 billion, up by 25.23 per cent year – on – year; and then the U.S - $1.8 billion, down by 9.88 per cent.

The exports of computers, electronics and components to the South East Asian countries in the first eight months of this year decreased by 18.53 per cent year – on – year to $1.4 billion.

In the first eight months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of computers, electronics and components to Poland rocketed by 502.95 per cent to $312.09 million; to Nigeria – up by 5.08 times or 408.67 per cent to $ 1.2 million; to Hungary – up by 3.61 times of 261.09 per cent to $191.8 million; to Taiwan (CN) – up by 2.21 per cent or 121.97 per cent to $327.30 million.
