Vietnam Aug coffee exports up 15.5 pct m/m at 153,300 tonnes

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam, the world's top robusta producer, exported 153,300 tonnes, or 2.55 million 60-kg bags, of coffee in August, customs data showed on Monday, higher than the government's estimate of 135,000 tonnes.
Coffee exports in August were 15.5 percent higher than in July, Vietnam Customs said in a monthly report.
Coffee exports from January to August rose 16.5 percent from the same period a year earlier to 1.3 million tonnes, the customs department said. Coffee export revenue in the eight-month period fell 1.5 percent to $2.5 billion.
