Exports of computers, electronics totaled nearly US$11 billion
Friday, July 13,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam earned US$10.95 billion from exports of computers, electronics and components in the first five months of this year, increased by 16.7 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
China was the country’s biggest export market of computers, electronics and components in the period with the export turnover of $3.07 billion, up by 34.8 per cent year – on – year.
The exports of computers, electronics and components to EU reached $1.8 billion in the period, up by 16 per cent year – on – year while the exports to the South East Asian countries reached $ 830.31 million, down by 29.6 per cent.
In the first five months of this year, the country’s exports of computers, electronics and components to Nigeria rocketed by 809.8 per cent to $0.89 million; while the exports to Poland – up by 671.2 per cent to $212.26 million; to Hungary – up by 167 per cent to $80 million; to Taiwan – up by 100.6 per cent to $173.67 million; to Panama – up by 93.6 per cent to $15.31 million; and to Mexico – up by 88.7 per cent to $357.82 million.
However, the exports of computers, electronics and components to Romania decreased by 72.44 per cent to $0.13 million; to Italy – down by 62 per cent to $40.54 million; to Malaysia – down by 60.8 per cent to $235.03 million.
