Exports of telephones and components – leading in list of export items
Wednesday, July 11,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Telephones and components were the leading export item of Vietnam in the first five months of this year with the export turnover of $ 19.3 billion, up by 18.7 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
The U.S was the country’s biggest export market of telephones and components in the first five months of this year with the export turnover of $ 1.9 billion, up by 6.63 per cent year – on – year. It was followed by South Korea with $ 1.8 billion, up by 33.55 per cent; the U.A.E - $ 1.87 billion; China - $ 1.83 billion; and Austria - $ 1.75 billion.
Especially, the exports of telephones and components to China increased sharply by 3.5 times or 245.97 per cent year – on – year.
However, the exports of telephones and components to Mexico decreased sharply by 93.84 per cent to $ 25.8 million; while the exports to Italy decreased by 87.82 per cent to $ 75.2 million; and to Cambodia – up by 80.34 per cent to $ 16.6 million.
