Exports of goods to Germany and Netherlands in five months

Exports to Germany increased 8.6 per cent
Vietnam exported US$ 2.85 billion worth of goods to Germany in the first five months of this year, increased by 8.6 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
The country exported $ 604.22 million worth of goods to Germany in May, slightly increased by 2.6 per cent over the previous month.
Telephones and accessories were leading the list of items exported by the country to |Germany in the first five months of this year with the export turnover of $ 851.44 million, accounted for 29.8 per cent of the total and increased by 16.2 per cent over the same period of 2017.
It was followed by footwear of all kinds with $ 381.79 million, down by 3 per cent; textiles and garments - $ 288.25 million, up by 11.7 per cent; computers, electronics and components - $ 241.14 million, up by 27.9 per cent.
In the first five months of this year, the country’s exports of tea to Germany increased sharply by 132.3 per cent to $ 0.97 million; confectionery and grain products - up by 122.6 per cent to $ 10.99 million; chemical products - up by 72.5 per cent to $ 4.15 million; iron and steel - up by 52.4 per cent to $ 2.79 million; cashew nuts - up by 49.2 per cent to $ 42.06 million.
However, the exports of paper and products to Germany in the first five months of this year decreased sharply by 50.4 per cent to $ 0.66 million; cameras, camcorders and components - down by 34.5 per cent to $ 3.09 million; pepper - down by 33.8 per cent to $ 16.3 million; coffee - down by 22.6 per cent to $ 208.72 million.
Exports to Netherlands increased nearly 11 per cent
|Vietnam’s exports of goods to the Netherlands reached US$ 2.9 billion in the first five months of this year, increased by 10.75 per cent over the same period last year, according to the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
Computers, electronics and components were leading the list of items exported by the country to the Netherlands in the first five months of this year with the export turnover of $ 860.2 million, accounted for 29 per cent of the total and increased by 8.82 per cent over the same period last year.
It was followed by telephones and accessories with $ 566.1million, up by 8.48 per cent; and then footwear of all kinds - $ 227.7 million, up by 4.03 per cent.
In the first five months of this year, the country’s exports of ordinary metals and products to the Netherlands increased sharply by 148.59 per cent to $ 2.5 million.
Meanwhile he exports of rubber fell sharply by 46.2 per cent to $ 4.3 million; rice - down by 32.27 per cent to $ 679,900; pepper - down by 22.53 per cent to $ 14,700; and coffee - down by 17.8 per cent to $ 11,300.
