In April only, the country’s total import and export revenue was estimated at $ 35.7 billion, down by 10.8 per cent over the previous month. Of the figure, the export turnover was estimated at $ 18.2 billion while the import value was estimated at $ 17.5 billion, down by 7.3 per cent.

In the first four months of this year, the country’s total import and export revenue was estimated at $ 114.13 billion, up by 14.4 per cent year – on – year. Of the figure, the export turnover was estimated at $ 73.76 billion, up by 19 per cent. So in the first four months, the average export turnover of the country reached $ 36 billion per month.

The country got $ 700 million of trade surplus in April and $ 3.39 billion in the first four months of the year.

The leading items exported by the country in April were telephones and components; textiles and garments; computers, electronics and components.

Computers, electronics and components were leading the list of items imported in the first four months with the import value of $ 13.42 billion, up by 22.3 per cent year – on – year.
