Exports of computers, electronics and components to Poland and Hungary increased sharply

The country exported US$ 6.3 billion worth of computers, electronics and components in the first quarter of this year, increased by 14.1 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
In March, the country’s exports of computers, electronics and components reached $ 2.2 billion, up by 31 per cent month – on – month.
China was leading the list of the country’s major export markets of computers, electronics and components in the period with the export turnover of $ 1.7 billion, up by 26.93 per cent year – on – year and accounted for 27.3 per cent of the total. It was followed by South Korea, the U.S, Hong Kong (China) and the Netherlands.
In the first quarter of this year, the country’s exports of computers, electronics and components to EU members decreased by 12.03 per cent while the exports to the South East Asian countries decreased by 33.66 per cent.
However, the exports of computers, electronics and components to Poland and Hungary rocketed by over 6 times and 2 times over the same period last year to $ 98.2 million and $ 43.6 million, respectively. The exports of computers, electronics and components to Taiwan (China) also increased sharply by 96.59 per cent to $ 98.6 million while the exports to Russia increased by 64.22 per cent to $ 38.7 million.
