Of the figure, the trade revenue of the FDI enterprises reached $ 71.47 billion, up by 20.8 per cent or $ 12.28 billion year – on – year.

The country witnessed a trade surplus of nearly US$2.7 billion in the first quarter of this year. By the end of March, the export value reached $55.56 billion, up by $11.05 billion, or 24.8 per cent over the same period of 2017.

In the first quarter of this year, there were more than 10 export commodities with the export turnover of billions of dollars. The exports of telephones and components reached nearly $12.6 billion, an increase of nearly $5 billion, or 62.3 per cent, over the same period of 2017.

The exports of textiles and garments touched $6.425 billion, up by 14.9 per cent; computers, electronic products and spare parts reached $6.334 billion, up by 14.1 per cent; and footwear amounted to $3.444 billion, up by 10.6 per cent.

The country’s import turnover in the first quarter of this year reached $52.87 billion, up by 13.3 per cent or $ 6.22 billion year – on - year.
