Trade deficit with Argentina totaled US$ 300 million in two months

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first two months of this year, Vietnam exported US$ 84.5 million worth of goods to and imported $ 431.6 million worth of goods from Argentina, so the country got $ 347 million of deficit in trade exchange with Argentina, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
Rubber was the leading item exported by the country to Argentina in the first two months of this year with 181 tons worth of $ 295,700, down by 8.59 per cent in quantity and 30.1 per cent in value compared with the same period last year.
It was followed by footwear of all kinds with $ 16 million, up by 32.63 per cent; and then textiles and garments with $ 3.8 million.
In the first two months, Vietnam’s imports of animal feed and materials from Argentina reached $ 222.4 million; corn - $ 194.2 million; and textile, garment, leather and footwear materials - $ 4.6 million.
