Exports to Cambodia reached nearly US$ 513 million
Thursday, April 12,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s exports of goods to Cambodia totaled US$ 512.7 million in the first two months of this year, increased by 32.15 per cent over the same period of 2017, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
Iron and steel of all kinds; petroleum of all kinds; textiles and garments; textile, garment, leather and footwear materials were the leading items exported by the country to Cambodia in the first two months of this year. The exports of iron and steel reached $ 105.2 million, accounted for 37.5 per cent of the total, up by 70.16 per cent in quantity and 45.35 per cent in value.
Meanwhile, the exports of petroleum of all kinds to Cambodia reached 98,400 tons worth of $ 60.7 million, down by 12.83 per cent in quantity and 1.77 per cent in value compared with the same period last year. The exports of textiles and garments to Cambodia increased by 27.4 per cent; textile, garment, leather and footwear materials – up by 63.92 per cent; and fertilizer – up by 43.79 per cent.
In the first two months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of seafood; fruits and vegetables; and telephones and components to Cambodia increased sharply by 145.73 per cent; 154.18 per cent and 290.29 per cent year – on – year, respectively.
However, the exports of glass and products to Cambodia decreased sharply by 65.42 per cent to $ 254,900.
