The country’s imports of petroleum from the South East Asian countries reached 1.34 million tons worth of $ 805.71 million in the first two months, increased by 26.3 per cent in quantity and 56.4 per cent in value compared with the same period last year.

Of the figure, the imports of petroleum from Malaysia reached 702,872 tons worth of $ 415.33 million, increased sharply by 131 per cent in quantity and 201.7 per cent in value compared with the same period of 2017; from Singapore – 389,159 tons worth of $ 235.45 million, down by 36.4 per cent in quantity and 22.7 per cent in value; from Thailand – 247,093 tons worth of $ 154.93 million, up by 71.7 per cent in quantity and 112 per cent in value.

Besides, the imports from South Korea totaled 622,632 million tons worth of $ 420.73 million, up by 45.4 per cent in quantity and 60 per cent in value; from China – 212,498 tons worth of $ 139.37 million, up by 73.2 per cent in quantity and 110.6 per cent in value. 

The average petroleum export price in the first two months of this year reached $ 633.3 per ton, up by 14.4 per cent year – on – year.
