Eight items join US$1 bln export club in two months
Wednesday, March 14,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Viet Nam gained US$33.6 billion from exports in the first two months of 2018, a year-on-year increase of 22.9%, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The State sector contributed US$9.6 billion, up 25.7% while the foreign-invested sector reported a trade value of US$23.9 billion, up 21.8%.
As of February 2018, eight items joined the US$1 billion export club, an additional three against the previous month.
These eight items included phones and accessories, garments and textiles, computers, electronics and spare parts, footwear, machines, equipment and tools, wood and aquatic products, which together earned the export value of US$22.96 billion.
