Exports to China: several items saw increases

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s exports of goods to China saw sharp increase in the first month of this year.

The country’s exports of several items to China saw increases, especially telephones and components.
Concretely, the country exported US$ 3.71 billion worth of goods to China in the first month of this year, increased sharply by over 105 per cent or over $ 1.9 billion over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
China was the biggest export market of telephones and components of Vietnam in the first month of this year with 22.7 per cent of the total market share.

The exports of telephones and components to China in the first month of this year increased by over 20 folds compared with the same period last year but decreased by 46.8 per cent over the previous month to $ 894.58 million.
However, the figure was down by 46.8 per cent over the previous month.

It was followed by computers, electronics and components with $ 691.59 million, up by 89.3 per cent; fruits and vegetables - $ 296.26 million, up by 70 per cent; fibers of all kinds - $ 183.81 million, up by 66 per cent; cameras, camcorders and components - $ 287.91 million, up by 79.7 per cent.
Besides telephones and components, in the first month of this year, the country’s exports of plastics to China were up by 306.5 per cent to $ 38.33 million; petroleum – up by 276.8 per cent to $ 43.06 million; plastic products – up by 247.3 per cent to $ 10.83 million; animal feed and materials – up by 212.7 per cent to $ 14.78 million; ores and minerals – up by 173 per cent to $ 6.82 million.

However, the exports of glass and products to China decreased sharply by 73.9 per cent to $ 1.92 million; crude oil – down by 37.2 per cent to $ 57.78 million; rubber – down by 14 per cent to $ 108.83 million.
