Of the figure, the export turnover was estimated at $ 193.75 billion, up by 21.1 per cent and the import value was at $ 190.99 billion, up by 21 per cent.

In November only, the country’s export and import value was estimated at $ 38.2 billion, down by 0.5 per cent over the previous month. Of the figure, the export turnover was estimated at $ 19.2 billion, down by 5.4 per cent while the import value was estimated at $ 19 billion, up by 4.9 per cent.

The country’s trade surplus reached $ 200 million in November and $ 2.76 billion in the first 11 months of this year.

Cell phones and accessories were leading the list of items exported by the country in the first 11 months of this year with the export turnover of $ 41.92 billion, up by 30.6 per cent year – on – year. It was followed by computers, electronics and components with over $ 23.6 billion, up by 38.13 per cent; and then textiles and garments with $ 23.58 billion, up by 9.5 per cent.

The other big export items were footwear of all kinds - $ 13.02 billion, up by 11.6 per cent; machines, equipment and spare parts - $ 11.54 billion, up by 27 per cent; wood and furniture - $ 6.87 billion, up by 10.5 per cent.

The exports of seafood were estimated at nearly $ 7.6 billion, up by 18.7 per cent year – on – year.
