Vietnam posts $292 mln trade deficit in June
Wednesday, July 12,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam reported a trade deficit of $292 million for June, compared with a deficit of $528 million a month earlier, the customs department said on Tuesday.
Exports in June edged down 0.8 percent from a month earlier to $17.8 billion, while imports fell 2 percent from May to $18.1 billion, Vietnam Customs said on its website.
Vietnam exported $97.7 billion of goods in the first half of 2017, up 18.8 percent from a year earlier, while imports jumped 24.1 percent in the same period to $100.5 billion, leaving a deficit of $2.78 billion.
