The major commodities exported by the country to Russia were rice; textiles and garments; coffee; seafood; fruit and vegetables; and cashew nuts.

Cell phones and accessories were leading the list of items exported by the country to Russia in the first five months of this year with the export turnover of $ 379.1 million, up by 37.44 per cent year – on – year and accounted for 48.4 per cent of the total. It was followed by textiles and garments - $ 71.7 million, up by 126.66 per cent; and coffee - $ 47.6 million, down by 13.07 per cent.

In the first five months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of rice to Russia increased sharply by over 7.6 folds year – on – year to $ 5.5 million; confectionery and grain products – up by 148.91 per cent; and machines, equipment and spare parts – up by 154.45 per cent; while the exports of iron and steel decreased by 63.14 per cent to $ 1.6 million.
