Exports of cell phones fell to US$ 3.9 billion in 5 months
Wednesday, June 7,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s exports of cell phones and accessories show falling trend, according to the information from the General Department of Customs.
In May, the country’s total trade revenue was estimated at $ 35.2 billion, slightly increased by 0.9 per cent over the previous month. Of the figure, the export turnover was estimated at $ 17.2 billion, down by 1.9 per cent; and the import value was estimated at $ 18 billion, up by 3.7 per cent.
By the end of May, the country’s trade revenue totaled $ 161.28 billion, up by 20.7 per cent over the same period last year. Of the figure, the export turnover was estimated at $ 79.3 billion, up by 17.4 per cent while the import value was estimated at $ 82 billion, up by 23.9 per cent year – on – year.
The country got trade deficit of $ 800 million in May, equivalent to 4.7 per cent of the total export turnover in the month. The figure of the first five months of this year was nearly $ 2.7 billion, equivalent to 1.7 per cent of the total export turnover.
According to the General Department of Customs, the exports of cell phones and accessories reached $ 3.9 billion in May, down by 11 per cent over the previous month. The total exports of cell phones and accessories in the first five months of this year were $ 16.05 billion, up by 12 per cent year – on – year.
