Thailand – leading import market of household electric appliances

AsemconnectVietnam - Thailand was leading the list of the biggest import markets of household electric appliances of Vietnam in the first two months of this year with the import value of US$ 120 million, up by 3.1 per cent over the same period last year and accounted for 54.5 per cent of the total.
In the first two months of this year, Vietnam imported $ 238.5 million worth of household electric appliances, increased slightly by 5.15 per cent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
In February only, the country’s import of household electric appliances reached $ 155.3 million, up by 85.3 per cent month – on – month.
Thailand has surpassed China to be the country’s leading import market of household electric appliances and components with the import value of $ 120 million, up by 3.1 per cent year – on – year and accounted for 54.5 per cent of the total.
It was followed by China with $ 42.5 million, down by 2.49 per cent; and Malaysia - $ 32.9 million, down by 8.62 per cent.
Especially, the imports from Italy increased sharply by 167.65 per cent to $ 1.9 million.
