Vietnam posts $2 bln trade deficit in Feb
Thursday, March 9,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam reported a trade deficit of $2 billion in February, compared with the previous month's surplus of $1.15 billion, the customs department said on Wednesday.
February exports fell 8.6 percent from the previous month to $13.1 billion, and imports rose 14.9 percent from January to $15.1 billion, Vietnam Customs said on its website.
Vietnam exported $27.4 billion of goods in the first two months of this year, up 15.8 percent from a year ago, while imports rose 23.3 percent during the same period to $28.2 billion, leaving a deficit of $800 million, the report said.
