Exports of computers and electronics to reach over US$ 20 billion in 2017
Tuesday, March 7,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam is expected to earn over US$ 20 billion from computers, electronics and components this year.
Computers, electronics and components ranked fourth in the list of leading items exported in January of this year with the export turnover of $ 1.5 billion, up by 18.7 per cent over the same month of last year.
By February 15, 2017, the country earned $ 2.3 billion from exports of computers, electronics and components, up by 40.4 per cent year – on – year.
Vietnam exported computers, electronics and components to 35 countries and territories in the world, leading by China with the export turnover of $ 365.2 million, up by 114.46 per cent year – on – year and accounted for 24.2 per cent of the total. It was followed by the U.S with $ 162.7 million, down by 9.49 per cent; and the Netherlands - $ 142.1 million, down by 14.23 per cent.
In the first month of this year, the country’s exports of computers, electronics and components to Panama increased sharply by 209.88 per cent to $ 2.8 million; while the exports to India increased by 127.78 per cent; to Turkey – up by 106.04 per cent; to Australia – up by 142.36 per cent; and to Finland – up by 151.36 per cent. However, the exports to Hungary decreased sharply by 64.13 per cent.
