In January of this year, Vietnam’s exports of ceramic and porcelain products decreased by 5.9 per cent over the previous month and by 10.9 per cent over the same month of last year to US$ 41.1 million, showed the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.

The U.S was still the country’s leading export market of ceramic and porcelain products in January with the export turnover of $ 9.3 million, up by 21.97 per cent year – on – year and accounted for 22.7 per cent of the total.

It was followed by Japan with $ 6 million, up by 1.84 per cent; and Taiwan - $ 3.5 million, down by 37.02 per cent.

The other export markets of ceramic and porcelain products were the U.K, South Korea, Denmark and Australia.

In the first month of this year, the country’s exports of ceramic and porcelain products to Malaysia decreased sharply by 73.95 per cent while the exports to Australia increased by 35.53 per cent.
