AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam exported over US$ 1.2 billion worth of goods to India in the first half of this year, increased slightly by 2.66 per cent over the same period last year.

The country exported 27 items to India, leading by cell phones and accessories with the export turnover of $ 168.8 million, accounted for 13.4 per cent of the total.

In the first 6 months of this year, the country’s export of cashew nuts to India increased sharply by 130.34 per cent in quantity and 131.04 per cent in value to 1,920,000 tons worth of $ 13.3 million; that of textiles and garments – up by 88.57 per cent; textile, garment, leather and footwear materials – up by 55.19 per cent; chemical products – up by 40.12 per cent. However, the export of confectionery and grain products decreased sharply by 56.58 per cent.
