AsemconnectVietnam - In the first two months of this year, Vietnam’s export of fertilizer totaled 154,600 tons worth of US$ 53.7 million, fell by 26.5 per cent in volume and 40 per cent in value over the same period last year, showed the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.

The country exported fertilizer to 8 countries and territories in the world. Cambodia was leading in the list of the country’s main fertilizer export markets in the first two months of this year with 44,500 tons valued at $ 17.1 million and accounted for 28 per cent of the total. It was followed by South Korea with 36,500 tons worth of $ 9.6 million; and Thailand – 10,200 tons worth of $ 3.8 million.

Vietnam also exported fertilizer to other countries such as the Philippines; Malaysia; Laos; Japan; and Taiwan with 10,000 tons; 7,800 tons; 2,200 tons; 2,100 tons and 1,800 tons, respectively in the first two months of this year.
