Exports of cell phones and accessories reached 44 billion USD in ten months
Tuesday, December 3,2019AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s exports of telephones and components reached 44 billion USD in the first ten months of this year, accounting for 20.12 per cent of the country’s total export turnover, and up by 6.2 per cent over the same period of 2018.
According to the figure of the General Department of Customs, Vietnam’s exports of telephones and accessories to the US market in the first 10 months of 2019 reached 7.8 billion USD, accounting for 17.72 per cent of the proportion, up by 65.16 per cent over the same period last year. In October alone, the country also exported to the US 790.25 million USD worth of telephones and accessories, down by 7.47 per cent compared to September 2019 but up 38.29 per cent compared to October of 2018.
In addition to the above mentioned main markets, Vietnam also exported telephones and accessories to other markets such as UAE, South Korea, Thailand, Germany, UK, etc.
Besides, that exports to Malaysia dropped sharply by 32.28 per cent to 332.92 million USD over the same period last year. In October of 2019 only, the country’s exports of telephones and accessories to Malaysia decreased by 69.62 per cent compared to September of 2019 and decreased by 70.40 per cent compared to October of 2018 to 13.34 million USD.
