Exports of phones and components accounted for 20% of total export turnover
Friday, November 15,2019AsemconnectVietnam - According to the statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of telephones and components reached 38.8 billion USD, accounting for 19.94 per cent of the country's total export turnover in the first 9 months of 2019.
The trade conflict between United States and China - the two largest economic powers in the world, caused significant impacts on global trade flows and Vietnam was no exception.
The exports of goods to China reached 4.66 billion USD, down by 19.23 per cent compared to the same period of 2018. Particularly in September of 2019, the country’s exports of goods to the U.S reached 1.5 billion USD, up by 39.33 per cent compared to August of 2019 but down by 6.2 per cent compared to September of 2018.
In the opposite direction, the markets that saw growth in export turnover accounted for only 30.43 per cent; of which the exports to Mexico market increased significantly, although only reached 393.35 million USD but increased by 5.5 times (corresponding to 449, 57 per cent) compared to the first 9 months of 2018. Particularly, in September of 2019, the country’s exports to Mexico reached 70.41 million USD, down by 22.01 per cent compared to August of 2019 but up by 7.7 times (corresponding to 667.64 per cent) compared to September of 2018.
