US$ 2.88 billion worth of crude oil exported in 2017
Sunday, January 21,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Last year, Vietnam’s exports of crude oil to Thailand and Singapore increased by nearly 200 per cent compared with 2016.
Vietnam exported 6.81 million tons of crude oil worth of US$ 2.88 billion last year, decreased slightly by 0.6 per cent in value but up by 21.8 per cent in value compared with last year, showed the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
The average crude oil export price in 2017 was at $ 422.5 per ton, up by 22.5 per cent compared with 2016.
China was the country’s leading crude oil export market in 2017 with 2.45 million tons worth of $ 1.05 billion, down by 36.6 per cent in quantity and 19.7 per cent in value compared with the previous year, and accounted for 36 per cent of the total.
Thailand ranked second with 1.03 million tons worth of $ 445.19 million, up by 134 per cent in quantity and 182 per cent in value.
The exports of crude oil to Japan increased sharply by 65.2 per cent in quantity and 97 per cent in value to 811,180 tons worth of $ 337.31 million.
Meanwhile, the exports of crude oil to Singapore increased sharply by 172 per cent in quantity and 173 per cent in value to 548,388 tons worth of $ 216.22 million.
The exports of crude oil to the South East Asian countries reached 2.13 million tons worth of $ 886.55 million, up by 81 per cent in quantity and 107 per cent in value year – on – year.
