Leading items exported in first eleven months of 2017

AsemconnectVietnam - The exports of 26 leading items totaled US$ 157.29 billion in the first 11 months of 2017, accounted for 90.1 per cent of the total.

Of the figure, 5 biggest export items saw the export turnover of over $ 10 billion each, included cell phones and accessories; textiles and garments; computers, electronics and components; footwear of all kinds; machines, equipment and spare parts.

Cell phones and accessories
: Vietnam exported $ 4.6 billion worth of cell phones and accessories in November and $ 41.38 billion in the first 11 months of 2017, up by 30.9 per cent compared with the same months of 2016.
The main export markets of cell phones and accessories in the period were EU (28 members) with over $ 11.31 billion, up by 10.5 per cent year – on – year; China with $ 5.47 billion, up by over 6 times; the U.A.E - $ 3.69 billion, up by 2.8 per cent; South Korea - $ 3.67 billion, up by 44.2 per cent; and the U.S - $ 3.53 billion, down by 10.7 per cent.

Textiles and garments:
The country exported $ 2.17 billion worth of textiles and garments in November and $ 23.58 billion in the first 11 months of 2017, up by 9.5 per cent year – on - year.
The leading export markets of textiles and garments in the first 11 months of 2017 were the U.S with $ 11.15 billion, up by 8 per cent year – on – year; EU (28 members) - $ 3.39 billion, up by 5.9 per cent; Japan - $ 2.8 billion, up by 7 per cent; and South Korea - $ 2.45 billion, up by 15.4 per cent.

Computers, electronic products and components:
 Vietnam earned $ 23.68 billion from export of computers, electronic products and components in the first 11 months of 2017, up by 38.5 per cent compared with the same months of 2016.
The major export markets of computers, electronic products and components in the period were China with $ 6.18 billion, up by 74.5 per cent year – on – year; the EU - $ 4.24 billion, up by 22.7 per cent; the U.S - $ 3.19 billion, up by 18.6 per cent.

Footwear of all kinds
: The export of footwear of all kinds totaled $ 1.37 billion in November and $ 13.19 billion in the first 11 months of 2017, up by 13.1 per cent year – on - year.
The country’s top export markets of footwear of all kinds in the first 11 months of 2017 were the U.S with $ 4.6 billion, up by 14.1 per cent year – on – year; EU (28 members) –$ 4.18 billion, up by 10.7 per cent; China – $ 1.04 billion, up by 28 per cent.

Machines, equipment, tools and spare parts:
 The country earned nearly $ 1.2 billion from export of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts  in November and $ 11.64 billion in the first 11 months of 2017, up by 28 per cent over the same period of 2016.
The main export markets of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts in the first 11 months of 2017 were the U.S with $ 2.22 billion, up by 15.9 per cent year – on – year; Japan –  $ 1.57 billion, down by 9.8 per cent; EU (28 members) – $ 1.69 billion, up by 42.2 per cent over the same period of 2016.

Seafood:
 The country’s export of seafood hit $ 768 million in November, down by 10.3 per cent month – on – month. The figure brought the country’s total export of seafood in the first 11 months of 2017 to $ 7.6 billion, up by 18.9 per cent year – on - year.
By the end of November, the country’s export of seafood to the U.S reached $ 1.3 billion, down by 1.7 per cent; to Japan – $ 1.19 billion, up by 20 per cent; to EU (28 members) – $ 1.34 billion, up by 23.1 per cent over the same period of 2016.

Wood and furniture:
 The country’s export of wood and furniture hit $ 695 million in November, up by 2.9 per cent month – on – month. The figure brought the country’s total export of wood and furniture in the first 11 months of 2017 to $ 6.9 billion, up by 11 per cent year – on - year.
By the end of November, the country’s export of wood and furniture to the U.S reached $ 2.96 billion, up by 17.6 per cent; to China - $ 964 million, up by 6.9 per cent; and to Japan - $ 929 million, up by 5.1 per cent over the same period of 2016.

Means of transport and spare parts:
 The country’s export of means of transport and spare parts hit $ 589 million in November, down by 13.6 per cent month – on – month. The figure brought the country’s total export of means of transport and spare parts in the first 11 months of 2017 to $ 6.37 billion, up by 16.1 per cent year – on - year.
By the end of November, the country’s export of means of transport and spare parts to the U.S reached $ 1.97 billion, up by 14.4 per cent; to the U.S - $ 1.07 billion, up by 49.6 per cent; and to Thailand - $ 302 million, up by 3.1 per cent over the same period of 2016.
 
Yarns of all kinds: Vietnam exported 120,000 tons of yarns of all kinds worth of $ 322 million in November, up by 3.7 per cent in quantity and 2.4 per cent in value month – on – month. The figure brought the country’s total export of yarns in the first 11 months of 2017 to 1.23 million tons valued at $ 3.27 billion, up by 15.7 per cent in quantity and by 22.9 per cent in value over the same period of 2016.
In the first 11 months of 2017, the country’s export of yarns of all kinds to China hit 670,000 tons worth of $ 1.85 billion, up by 15.5 per cent in quantity and 24.7 per cent in value; to South Korea – 125,000 tons worth of $ 290 million, up by 21.9 per cent in quantity and 19.3 per cent in value.

Fruits and vegetables: 
Vietnam exported $ 312,000 million of fruits and vegetables in November, up by 30 per cent month – on – month. The figure brought the country’s total exports of fruits and vegetables in the first 11 months of 2017 to $ 3.18 billion, up by 44.1 per cent over the same period of 2016.
In the first 11 months of 2017, the country’s export of fruits and vegetables to China hit $2.4 billion, up by 54.9 per cent; to Japan – $ 117 million, up by 70 per cent; and the U.S - $ 93 million, up by 21.2 per cent year – on - year.
