Trade revenue totaled nearly US$ 386 billion in 11 months
Friday, December 29,2017AsemconnectVietnam - By the end of November, Vietnam’s import and export revenue totaled US$ 385.77 billion, increased by 21.4 per cent over the same period last year, showed the latest statistics figures of the General Department of Customs.
In the period, the exports of 26 leading items reached $ 157.29 billion, accounted for 90.1 per cent of the country’s total export turnover. The exports of cell phones and accessories; textiles and garments; computers, electronics and components; footwear of all kinds; machines, equipment and spare parts reached over $ 10 billion each.
Cell phones and accessories: Vietnam exported $ 41.38 billion worth of cell phones and accessories in the first 11 months of this year, up by 30.9 per cent compared with the same months of 2016.
Textiles and garments: The country exported $ 23.58 billion worth of textiles and garments in the first 11 months of this year, up by 9.5 per cent over the same period last year.
Computers, electronic products and components: Vietnam earned $ 23.68 billion from export of computers, electronic products and components in the first 11 months of this year, up by 38.5 per cent compared with the same months of 2016.
Footwear of all kinds: The exports of footwear of all kinds totaled $ 13.19 billion in the first 11 months of this year, up by 13.1 per cent year – on - year.
Machines, equipment, tools and spare parts: : The country earned $ 1.2 billion from exports of machines, equipment, tools and spare parts in November, up by 5.4 per cent compared with the same month of last year. The figure brought the country’s total exports of machines, equipment and spare parts in the first 11 months of this year to $ 11.64 billion, up by 28 per cent year – on – year.
Seafood: The country’s exports of seafood hit $ 7.6 billion in the first 11 months of this year, up by 18.9 per cent year – on - year. By the end of November, the country’s export of seafood to the U.S reached $ 1.3 billion. The other leading markets were Japan and EU.
Wood and furniture: The country’s export of wood and furniture hit $ 6.9 billion in the first 11 months of this year, up by 11 per cent year – on - year. The major export markets of wood and furniture in the first 11 months of this year were the U.S, China and Japan.
Means of transport and spare parts: Vietnam earned $ 6.37 billion from exports of means of transport and spare parts in the first 11 months of this year, increased by 16.1 per cent over the same period of 2016.
Yarns of all kinds: Vietnam exported 1.23 million tons of yarns of all kinds worth of $ 3.27 billion in the first 11 months of this year, up by 15.7 per cent in quantity and by 22.9 per cent in value over the same period of 2016. The leading export markets of yarns were China and South Korea.
Fruits and vegetables: Vietnam’s exports of fruits and vegetables reached $ 312 million in November and $ 3.18 billion in the first 11 months of this year, up by 44.1 per cent over the same period last year.
