The figure brought the country’s total imports of pharmaceuticals in the first two months of this year to $ 385.2 million, up by 2.57 per cent year – on – year.

Germany was the country’s biggest import market of pharmaceuticals in the first two months of this year with the import value of $ 51.4 million, up by 67.82 compared with the same period last year and accounted for 13.3 per cent of the total.

It was followed by India with $ 39.9 million, down by 13.53 per cent; and France - $ 38.6 million, up by 5.03 per cent.

The other import markets of pharmaceuticals were South Korea, the U.K, Italy and the U.S.

In the first two months of this year, Vietnam’s imports of pharmaceuticals from Russia rocketed by 765.22 per cent to $ 646,600; and from Canada – up by 141.07 per cent to $ 1.5 million, while the imports from Indonesia decreased by 79.16 per cent.
