Exports of footwear increased in first four months
Tuesday, June 10,2014AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam earned US$ 2.96 billion from footwear exports in the first four months of this year, increased by 25.47 per cent over the same period last year.
In April only, the country exported $ 856.37 million worth of footwear, up by 27.66 per cent over the previous month and by 34 per cent over the same month of last year.
Especially, the country’s export of footwear to several small markets saw a sharp increase. The export to Chile increased by nearly 72.1 per cent to $ 30.31 million; to Israel – up by 110.24 per cent to $ 9.41 million; to Greece – up by over 64.85 per cent to $ 7.77 million; and to Poland – up by 71.36 per cent to $ 6.42 million.
