U19 Vietnamese footballers compete in ASEAN championship
Monday, July 2,2018AsemconnectVietnam - U19 Vietnamese footballers are in Indonesia for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U19 Youth Championship which is scheduled to take place in Indonesia from July 1-14.
At the regional championship, the Vietnamese team eyes top three.
To prepare for the tournament, the players were trained in China for a month, where they played three friendly matches.
They also took part in the Suwon JS Cup 2018 in the Republic of Korea from April 18-22.
“My players have improved in terms of skills and mentality thanks to these preparations, and are ready to challenge themselves in the upcoming games,” said coach Hoang Anh Tuan.
Vietnam are scheduled to play Thailand on July 1, the Philippines on July 3, Laos on July 5, Indonesia on July 7 and Singapore on July 9.
