Vietnamese, RoK artists to perform classics by Mozart, Tchaikovsky
Tuesday, April 17,2018AsemconnectVietnam - Classics by Mozart and Tchaikovsky will be presented by Vietnamese violinist Tran Huu Quoc, who will play alongside his guests from the Republic of Korea, conductor Kim Joon Cha and pianist Cho Eun Young, in Ho Chi Minh City on April 19.
The artists will perform the Overture to the Marriage of Figaro and the Piano Concerto No.21 in C major by Mozart on the first half of the concert. The second half of the show will feature Symphony No.5 by Tchaikovsky.
Violinist Tran Huu Quoc was born in 1973. He had been taught to play violin by his father, composer Tran Huu Bich, at the age of five. He studied at the HCM City Conservatory of Music from 1980 to 1987 before going on to the Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow, Russia where he graduated with distinction in 2000. He won the third prize at the International Competition Delphic in Russia later the same year.
The violinist has already performed in Australia and many European countries including Russia, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Finland and Hungary. He now teaches violin and plays for three orchestras in the Republic of Korea.
