Gymnast Nguyen Ha My wins gold, silver in Singapore Open
Monday, June 19,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Nguyen Ha My of Vietnam won a gold medal at the Singapore Rhythmic Gymnastics Open on June 18.
My triumphed in the Junior Ball event with 12.6 points. She was followed by Chloe Hay of Australia (12.1 points) and Arisa Tanthathoedtham of Thailand (11.65 points).
It was My’s fifth medal at the tournament.
Earlier on the day, she grabbed a silver in the Hoop event with 13.1 points. She was behind Alexandra Kiroi of Australia who grabbed 13.3 points. Australian Ashari Gill was third with 12.4.
My’s other silver medals were in the Clubs and Ribbon classes. Her first medal was a bronze in the junior individual event on June 17.
The junior team was third in the team’s category.
Also on June 18, My’s mate Nguyen Hong Nhung secured a silver in the Senior Ball pool with 12.4 points.
Yeo Siew Lyn of the hosts won with 12.6 points and her teammate Phebe Lau was third with 11.5 points.
Vietnam wrapped up the tournament with one gold, four silver and two bronze medals.
