Ly Hoang Nam loses in doubles, to focus on singles

AsemconnectVietnam - The No 3 seed pair of Ly Hoang Nam of Vietnam and Yu Cheng-yu of Chinese Taipei was ousted from the Singapore F2 Men’s Futures tennis tournament on May 30.
They were defeated 6-2, 4-6, 8-10 by wildcard receiver Sherwin Foo and Roy Hobbs of Singapore in an 85-minute match in the first-round match of the doubles category.
Nam will now focus on the singles. As No 7 seed, he will play Sho Katayama of Japan in the first match.
In other matches on May 30, Yu beat Dalwinder Singh of India 6-3, 6-1; Hobbs was beaten 1-6, 2-6 by No 5 seed Vijay Sundar Prashanh of India.
Title favourite Ramkumar Ramanathan from India won 6-1, 6-0 over Shaheed Alam of Singapore.
The F2 tournament which ends on June 4 at the Kallang Tennis Centre is offering 15,000 USD to leading players.
