Vietnam movies presented at Cannes film festival
Wednesday, May 24,2017AsemconnectVietnam - The Vietnamese film “Dao cua dan ngu cu” or The Island of Aliens was presented during the Vietnam Night at the Cannes Film Festival that ran from May 17-22 in France.
The feature film "Dao cua dan ngu cu" by woman director Hong Anh takes the audience through the lives of people from around the country who gather in a little village by the sea.
It depicts the confusion and uncertainty of main characters in their pursuit of happiness and the meaning of life.

The film has recently won three prizes at the ASEAN International Film Festival & Awards 2017 in Malaysia, including the best film, best actor and best director of photography.
