Vietnam lose 0-1 to Gwangju FC in U19s tourney
Friday, April 21,2017AsemconnectVietnam - Two Vietnamese representatives lost in the last qualifying round matches of the International U19 Football Championship in Nha Trang city on April 20.
Vietnam lost 0-1 to Gwangju FC of the Republic of Korea, marking their first defeat in the tournament on home turf.
The only goal of the match was by Jung Hoye-on towards the end of the first half.
Vietnam, however, lead the qualifier with nine points after four matches.
Gwangju are second with eight points and are the only team who did not lose a single game.
The two sides will see each other again in the final on April 22.
In an earlier match on April 20, Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC were defeated 0-3 by Myanmar. The two sides will also meet again in the third-place play-off match.
