Australian businesses eye Bac Giang investment egg

AsemconnectVietnam - A delegation of two Australian businesses, HunterNet and Green Agri, worked with the leaders of Bac Giang province People’s Committee on August 13 to conduct a preparatory survey on the building of a poultry processing factory and cooperating in production activities and farm produce sales in the locality.

At the event, Cade Anthony James, CEO of HunterNet, expressed hope that Bac Giang province will introduce the group to potential partners such as cooperatives and agricultural businesses for the supply of products in the locality. Due to those efforts, HunterNet will gain greater insight into the province’s poultry industry.

Nguyen Van Linh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee briefed the Australian companies on the socio-economic situation in the locality and provided them with information on poultry flocks.

At present, Bac Giang has about 17 million fowl with an output of around 26,000 tons per year, thus offering plentiful opportunities for Australian companies and groups to invest in the locality’s poultry processing sector.

Appreciating the Australian businesses’ keen interest in Bac Giang province’s agricultural sector, Linh said his province will create the optimal conditions for the businesses to survey locations and introducing partners to firms and cooperatives in the locality.

Priority will be given to granting licenses to ensure that these firms can effectively operate in the locality, he said while asking Australian enterprises to conduct thorough research into the market, material sources and prices before investing in the province to ensure safe and sustainable development.

After the working session, Australian businesses will conduct a survey of Yen The district in Bac Giang province to learn about poultry breeding and consumption in the locality.
