Amway Vietnam recognized as sustainable business for 2nd time

 Saturday, December 9,2017

AsemconnectVietnam - Amway Vietnam has for the second time been recognized as one of the top 100 sustainable businesses in Vietnam by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

To gain sustainable business recognition, enterprises must meet the criteria of the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI), an initiative of VCCI to promote sustainable development at enterprises. The index reflects enterprises’ reputation, attraction of human resources, operations, development potential, and social and environmental accountability.
According to Amway Vietnam, it has always worked towards ensuring human and environmental safety in production, compliance with law, fulfillment of tax obligations, and good quality of products and services.
Leo Boon Wang, general director of Amway Vietnam, said in a statement that the company takes pride in its contribution to sustainable development in Vietnam through its products and services as well as its business ethnics and community support.
Amway is one of the few companies that hold CSR Day for employees and distributors to promote a strong sense of responsibility for work and the care for the community in business operations, he noted.
He said that among the firm’s successful social programs is Nutrilite Power of 5 which provides nutritional care for malnourished children in Vietnam.
The Nutrilite Power of 5 campaign, now in its third year, has so far given 230,220 packets of Nutrilite Little Bits to 2,008 malnourished children in combination with raising awareness of child malnutrition in Bac Giang Province. Some 188,820 packets of Nutrilite Little Bits will be supplied for 2,098 children in Lao Cai Province this year.
Amway Vietnam, which was set up in 2008, has a modern factory in the southern province of Binh Duong using materials mainly imported from the United States.
