* Vietnam Petroleum Transport Company (VIP) has announced March 9 as the ex-dividend date to advance a 2016 dividend in cash for share holders at 8 percent.

* Luong Tri Thin, chair and general director of Dat Xanh Real Estate Service & Construction Corporation (DXG), has purchased three million DXG shares to raise his holding from 5.7 percent to 6.8 percent.

* SMC Investment Trading Company (SMC), which focuses on trading steel and building materials, has approved a plan to issue 12.5 million shares in a private placement in the first quarter of this year, said Viet Capital Securities Company. Of the amount, SMC plans to sell 6.9 million shares toJapan’s global trading firm Hanwa Co Ltd, 3.43 million shares to SMC’s deputy general director guyen Thi goc Loan and 2.14 million shares to Nguyen Cam Ha at  VND18,000 each in all cases. Of the proceeds, estimated at VND225 billion, SMC plans to spend VNDlOO billion paying for a lot of land where it builds its headquarters, and VND125 billion buying equipment and supplementing its working capital. SMC posted revenue of VND9.4 trillion and consolidated net profit ofVND368 billion in 2016 while it incurred a loss ofVND195.8 billion on revenue ofVND10 trillion in the previous year.

* Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Company (DCL) has decided to invest VND55 billion in cancer drug maker Benovas, holding a 55 percent stake.

* Phuong HoangXanhA&A Company will be buying 2.5 million shares of Advanced Quartz Company (VC~) from March 1-24.

* Nguyen Huu Hoan, vice chair and deputy general director of Hoang Ha Group (HHG), has registered to buy 200,000 HHG shares from now to March 28.

* Hoang Trong guyen, vice chair and deputy general director of Ha Tay Pharma ceutical Company (DHT), has offloaded 360,000 DHT shares, or a 5.7 percent stake.
